The inaugural meeting of The Staffordshire Speakers’ Scheme was held at the National memorial Arboretum at Alrewas on Sunday 15th July. W Bro J Keith Thomas PJGD Assistant Provincial Grand master presided with The Provincial Education Officer W Bro G J Arblaster PJGW in attendance. Some twenty Brethren were in attendance to learn how the Speakers Scheme would play an important part of The Staffordshire Way how it would operate. In addition those present there were apologies from a further 14 brethren. A register of speakers and their topics is now being assembled and in the near future a co-ordinator will be appointed to manage and develop the scheme. Lodge secretaries will be kept fully informed of progress.
